Agenda Bookshop raised a charitable €1,000 for the Inspire Foundation by giving a new twist to Pharrell Williams’ hit song ‘Happy’.
Customers, employees, children and even people garbed in animal costumes participated in the making of the video, by dancing and singing to the ‘Happy’ melody.
The video was posted on Agenda’s Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AgendaBookshop) on Easter Sunday and €1 was donated for every ‘like’ the post received. Thanks to the support of Agenda’s fans, the video itself amassed almost 100,000 views, and the Facebook post got over 400 shares and a 1,000 likes by the end of April.
“This simple and fun music video really left its mark on all our staff and customers. We all joined in for a good cause and spent the rest of the day buzzing with positivity,” said Caroline Wirth, Director of Miller Distributors Ltd.
Inspire is a non-profit organisation at the forefront in providing educational, therapeutic and leisure services to persons with disabilities in Malta and Gozo.
Released earlier this year, ‘Happy’ made the charts as part of the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, as well as Williams’ album called G I R L.
