Inspire is a leading NGO in Malta helping hundreds of individuals with various disabilities to achieve their full potential, as we believe that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion.
We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic and leisure services. We also advocate for inclusion, educate the public and raise awareness among peers.
General Scope and Purpose of Position
We are looking to recruit a Music and/or a Drama Therapist on a part-time or freelance basis (mornings only) to work within our School Outreach Programme (SOP).
The SOP supports a number of children with disabilities, who are integrated in mainstream schooling, to develop their social, emotional, academic and all-round life skills. This is done using a number of unique facilities and approaches to achieve client-centred goals.
The chosen candidate/s will be expected to develop group goals, and develop a therapeutic relationship through music and/or drama, whilst identifying areas for growth (particularly focused in areas such as communication, social and emotional development and engagement).
They will work within a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to plan and carry out sessions with small groups of children, develop goals, and contribute towards regular reports that will document the children’s progress.
The ideal candidate should:

Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
