About George

George is 26 years old and works as a captain for Ryanair. He loves sports, travelling, photography, positive people and a good cup of coffee. As a young boy, he used to woo over his uncle’s collection of the National Geographic and his interest in travel and adventure started growing. He has long dreamed of visiting the magical and mystical Himalaya, but he wanted this trip to be extra special … and so he chose to incorporate it with fundraising for a good cause.

George is now busy preparing for the expedition, to be both physically and mentally prepared. “I will be moving away from my comfort zone, in a foreign land with no one I know, but I look at the bigger picture … it’s the Himalaya, nature, new friendships, and ultimately a good cause. Helping out Inspire Foundation is my greatest motivation when things get tough. I choose to make a difference, no matter how small,” he says.

Why Inspire?

George was first introduced to Inspire Foundation as a young boy when he used to use the pool once a week for P.E Lessons. He then used to visit the Inspire park and attend some of the fundraising events.

“I have so much admiration for the incredible work that is being done with persons with disability. What really made me choose is Inspire is their ethos, Inspire believes that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion, a statement which I hold dearly close.”
